Positive Support Services (PSS)
Sparkles provides Positive Support Services to individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, brain injuries, or mental health needs.
This service focuses on understanding and reducing challenging behaviors through person-centered, proactive strategies.
Our trained staff use individualized support plans to promote safety, independence, and long-term success in home and community settings.
Our Approach Includes
Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA)
to understand why behaviors occur and how to best support the individual.
Positive Support Plan (PSP)
a detailed, personalized plan that outlines positive strategies to support behavior and encourage independence.
Positive Support Transition Plan (PSTP)
created when emergency use of manual restraint occurs, with the goal of eliminating restrictive practices.
Highly Trained Staff
all support professionals complete DHS-required training in person-centered, trauma-informed behavioral practices.
